    Great value & comfort

Comfortable and well made. I’m short and stout (5’5” 260lbs), and the height at the lowest setting is great. Nice wide seat. Easy assembly in less that 20 min. So far so good!

I was pleasantly surprised. Love the color & quality but the back is kinda noisy when/if you are shifting around. All said. a lot of bang for your buck.

    Great chair for themoney!

This chair has great back support. At first, it seemed to be strangely designed, but the floating back support does the trick. The foldable arms and leather seat and backrest all work to provide a very comfortable seat for a great price. It’s not an executive chair, but maybe it’s an executive assistant chair?

    Rotating arms are great!

Bought this to replace my 30 year old desk chair. Really liked the rotating arms as I’ll grab my guitar sometimes while working and that feature really worked well. However, the lumbar support pushed me forward to the point I couldn’t get comfortable. The foam padding was very “cushy” almost too much, but that may be due to the stiffness of my old chair. I liked the chairs style, just wished I could have gotten comfortable in it. Returned it after a week.

Chair will work IF seat back holes in the proper place

I wanted to love this chair. When I read everything it seemed like it would be perfect. I even purchased the upgraded wheels (worth $34.95). Assembly was easy. Did it by myself in around 20 minutes. The issue came with the location of the top holes in the seat back. In other office chairs I’ve assembled, the seat back secures to the seat bottom using screws. Not here. The back is secured into the arm rests. Unfortunately, the top screw holes of the seat back were installed in the wrong location. If you look at the photos, you’ll see there’s a good inch of space between the plastic front and where the seat back starts. Now if you look at the manufacturer photos, you’ll see there should be some chair back fabric in front of the plastic. The seat back remains in a reclined position because the holes were in the wrong location. It can’t go into an upright position. And that means I can’t get proper back support unless I lean back 100% of the time. I believe this is the reason so many people are struggling to get good support.Deciding if I want to request a new seat back to see if that will solve my problem, or just return the chair for a refund.

    Damaged upon delivery

The chair is comfortable, but I purchased a brand new chair and it arrived damaged. My husband took a picture of the box and how it showed up, but put the chair together anyways, not thinking. When I got home I immediately noticed the damage on the chair and was unhappy. Since the chair was already put together, the last thing we want to do is take it apart and try to get it back into a package to return, but that seems to be our only option if we want to either get our money back or attempt to receive an undamaged chair. With it being no fault of ours, we either have to spend 3 times the amount of time we should have to, or just live with the fact we paid full price for a damaged item. Pretty unhappy with both options.

does anyone know how to raise it higher than it allows? It’s still to short at my desk.

Love the chair, trying to figure out how to raise it. I know the lever at the right bottom is for this, but it isn’t high enough for my desk. Any idea how to raise it higher?

Takes some skill to out together.

I just finished putting this chair together. All tools (there is only one) are included. It takes a certain amount of experience having put furniture together before, but it is do-able. Seems great so far.

    Comfortable!

What a beautiful office chair. Well manufactured. Perfectly sized. Smooth movement and smooth to the touch. Elegant. Arm rests are adjustable and was the primary reason we chose this for my daughter. The color is very neutral and appealing if you change room decor color scheme often. Love the arch back support! Exceptional quality for the price in my opinion. The assembly was very easy and quick with no extra needed tools, as everything was included. I wouldn’t hesitate to gift this to other family members or for my own! Really loving this purchase. ☆☆☆☆☆

Great chair for a fraction of the price.

I was originally going to buy a Lay-Z-Boy chair for double the price of this chair and there isn’t enough of a difference to justify the increased price. Great chair, very supportive, and the arms go up, unlike the stationary arms on the Lay-Z-Boy

    Comfortable, easy to put together.

I needed a replacement for my home office chair that had taken more wear and team than it ever expected with pandemic working from home and having me sit in it for 8-10 hours a day.Great looking chair, comfy and well padded, nice and wide, and feels solid. I’ve had it about a week or so and so far all is good.I’m moderately handy, but it only took me about 15 minutes to put together – instructions were pretty clear and had all the correct screws / bolts etc.I find it quite comfortable to sit in for a few hours in a row, most of the support is lumbar rather than upper back and while there is some back adjustment, the default position is more laid back than straight. For a reasonably priced chair, it both looks better and is more comfortable than I’d expected – will give it a few more months to see how well it lasts.

Perfect Chair for long hours sitting, back pain relief, gaming and stylish decor

I was long overdue for an upgrade to my desk chair after suffering through back pain of sitting long hours. After some research I decided to pull the trigger on this chair as it offered the stylish look that fit with my home office and offered lumbar support. What a game changer! Assembly was a breeze (I did it by myself within 20 min) and it has drastically improved my back pain from sitting long hours. Totally recommend for a more sophisticated gaming chair or an upgrade to your office chair.

    Heaven!

I needed a comfy chair for remote work. But I also wanted a nice looking chair. This gave me both!I ordered the damaged box option, as it was the only one left at the time. It arrived…with a damaged box. But the chair inside was fine except for a few smudges. Took a minute & someone to help to assemble it.There was a hard to get to connection underneath the chair, the cables that control the adjustment levers, were not attached. Someone at the factory didn’t do their job.But we figured it out. Not a big deal but if your levers don’t work look inside the mechanism to make sure it has been screwed into place. The chair is very comfortable. I sit in it 8 hrs a day. Plenty of padding. The lumbar support is on a swivel joint and moves with you! Its a quiet chair unless you get too comfy & start slouching too far down. Then the lumbar might rub on the head rest and squeak But thats not a chair issue that’s a my needing to sit up issue. Lol The back is normal height. If you are tall you will not have head support.I love that the arm rests can flip up out of the way. And for cat owners….Put something thick over the back. I have a cardigan sweater hanging in it. Cat claws will leave holes if they jump onto the back of the chair. And yes, you should buy it!I love mine. 🙂

    Delightful chair, but not black

Pros: Quick, easy assembly; very comfortable with the 360 degree lumbar support; love being able to lift the arms up out of the way to push the chair further under my desk.Con: It is more charcoal gray than black.Verdict: I would definitely buy this chair again or recommend it to a friend!

Nice chair but problems after less than 3 months

I love the chair but in about two and a half months, one of the arm rest pads is already almost entirely off. I don’t add any extra pressure or do anything out of the norm with the chair. The biggest issue with this is that there is seemingly no way to re-attach it as it looks like the pad was screwed in and then another layer was glued on, meaning I would have to rip apart the pad to reattach it. Normally I would not want to write a review like this but there is no customer support for this product so I am hoping that someone reaches out based on this to help me.

    Unsurprisingly A Good Value

All Amazon-branded products I’ve ever purchased have meet or exceeded expectations. I bought this to replace my 3 year old black bonded leather chair. This was an upgrade. Padding is pretty decent as I have used this for up to 16 hours a day (as COVID has me teleworking, plus I use my computer for home-related activities after work, but of course with breaks). Needless to say, I have used this a lot for long periods of time. This is by no means an awesome chair that will change your life but for the price, it’s a great pick. If you don’t need any orthopedic chair or have to sit for 24 hours straight, you’ll be fine with this.As for the cream color, it’s different and was cheaper. I personally thought it looked more premium than black, as the stitching is more present. Thus far (2 months), I have had no discoloration or staining issues. The arms flipping up can be useful for stowing the chair under my desk when not in use. The ergonomic design provides decent support. The bottom cushion (the most important cushion) is decent, not the greatest but definitely works for me. Adjustability options are limited but remember all these points take the price into consideration. The castors (wheels) work smoothly. I appreciate the high back as I have even fallen asleep in it. Assembly was easy enough, as expected with any standard office chair.Pros:PricePremium feel and lookDecent cushion/supportHigh backDecent adjustabilityCons:Considering the price, noneIf I were to be picky, more adjustability options would be niceI am about 5’6″ and 165 lbs

Don’t skimp and buy a cheap chair!!

If you’re working from home (like many are at the time of this writing), and you are in need of a chair, it can be tempting to buy a cheaper chair. I made that mistake and that chair is in the garage collecting dust! This chair is EXTREMELY comfortable. I’ve been sitting in it for 7 months now and it has not work out or broken in any way. I have the cream colored one and the leather is very soft! Many reviewers complain that the back makes you sit up too far, causing your back to hurt. This was a bit of an issue for about a week. But, I’m used to it now.The biggest plus is the seat padding!!! Let me say that I’m well over the weight capacity rated for this chair (I’m working on that!) If a chair is too hard, my tailbone starts to hurt. But, this chair has a cushion that is so plush that I don’t even need one of those coccyx pads!Would I buy it again??I would buy 2!

Not black & seat depth is short 🙁

It’s definitely NOT black. It’s gray. A beautiful gray, but not black.I wanted a deep seat. Thought this one would have that. It does not. It’s an “ok” chair. Definitely better than the Serta I returned, but it’s still not “the one” I’m looking for.

    Low Price but High Quality

I put it together all by myself and only using the tools in the box. Super easy to do and the included instructions made sense. I didn’t do it all at once but it would probably have taken 30 minutes to unbox and assemble. Placing the back of the chair would’ve been easier with 2 people, but I was able to do it alone.I loved my old leather studded chair but the pneumatics broke and I’m tall. I needed the height adjustment. I also like that the arms move up and down so when I’m done for the day I can pull up the arms and scoot the chair in more to get it out of the way.The chair is very comfortable and is just what this full time work from home lady needed to meet my company’s ergonomic requirements.

    Comfortable big and tall chair.

I had been using an Amazon high back executive desk chair for years. I finally decided it was time to replace it. I first tried a “big name” office chair that was twice the price. It looked great and had thick cushioning, but it was uncomfortable to sit in for more than a short time. Incredibly, it had no tilt lock except for straight up. I returned it and bought this chair. I’ve only been using it for a few days but it’s much more comfortable sitting in for extended times than the “big name” chair, and of course an improvement over my 5 year old Amazon chair. Amazon does it right again. The one thing I don’t care for is the gray color isn’t the most appealing for a home office, but as the description states, this is designed for commercial use.

Probably one of the most comfortable chairs ever. Only thing I wished was that it had head rest but the seat and the lumbar support are one of the best I have purchased in an office chair.

Great chair… a bit short for tall people!

Based on someone else’s review, it would seem that this chair is perfect for average-height people but less great for those of us who are a bit tall or (according to her) a bit short. I’m 5’9 with most of my height in my legs. I like a chair to be tall enough that my legs can be straight to the floor from my knees to my feet and still have support under my knees. This chair is too short for that, even at it’s highest setting, but it can be fixed with a simple replacement of the gas lift cylinder for a mere $20 (search for gas lift cylinder on Amazon). And the extra $20 is worth it because other than that one issue, this chair is great. My first experience with this chair was at work when the firm replaced all of our desk chairs. I loved it so much that I bought it for myself when I went into private practice. The lumbar support hits in just the right spot and moves with your body as you lean in and out. I love the cream color, and the seat is padded nicely. I especially love the liftable arms. I sit at my desk for 8+ hours straight 5-6 days a week, and I never have body pain– Granted, I am only 36, but I have definitely experienced this with other office chairs that claimed to be “ergonomic”. With a simple lift cylinder replacement and a movable standing desk (which I never actually stand at), I can finally sit at my desk without my knees hitting the underside of the desk or my legs having to be extended out to have support under my knees. These two things mean that I don’t slump at my desk anymore, and my neck and back thank me! 🙂

    Lovely Chair…not for short people

The chair is a good chair. Quality. Reasonably easy to put together, although an extra set of hands will make that task much easier. It has good padding. The wheels are at least okay. The only problem I had with this chair is that I’m quite short. I tend to sit quite straight while I’m working. This chair kind of leans back. If I’m sitting at a 90 degree angle, I need a (very large) wedge pillow to have any back support at all. For me it was like sitting on a very nice stool with arms, but no back.Surprisingly, it does get short enough for me, unlike most chairs on the market. If only the back was more adjustable, I’d have happily kept it.I used the chair for 6-7 months before giving it to my father, who much to his surprise, loves it.During the time I had it, it held up well. Although I did discover that my cats love it. If you have cats, you may want to cover it.

    SO FAR, PRETTY GOOD!

I just received this chair yesterday. The star ratings are based on my first impressions and I’ll update this review after I’ve had a chance to live with this chair for a while. So far, it’s fairly impressive. It was boxed well and the unpacking simple. The instructions were clear (assuming a person is able to follow pictures that show how to assemble a thing). The necessary hardware was easily identified. The only bump in the road for me was that the instructions show a screwdriver-type tool to tighten the screws but the actual tool provided was an Allen wrench. I have arthritis in my hands so I would have preferred the tool that was shown. Not a reason to prevent someone from purchasing this chair, just my personal preference. It took me about 15 minutes to assemble the chair. It looks great! The floor in my office is ceramic tile and the wheels roll effortlessly over that surface. I also tried it over tight pile carpet. Rolled easily on that service as well. The seat is well padded as is the seatback. I’m 6′, 220 lbs. The lumbar support feels very good and hits my lower back in the perfect spot for me. The arms swing up and down very smoothly. The controls for positioning the chair up and down and tilting the back takes some getting used to but once mastered (took about 30 seconds) work well.I sit at my desk several hours throughout the day. I’ll be looking to see how well everything holds up in the coming weeks and will revisit this initial review. So far, it’s yet another Amazon Essential item that appears to be an excellent value.UPDATE OCTOBER 14, 2020: Three weeks in and I’m very happy with this chair. The seat has now conformed to my butt and the back support continues to be excellent. I actually spend a lot more time watching TV in this chair than I did with my previous office chair. The only thing that will remain uncertain for a while is how long the bonded leather lasts. Not expecting a problem though as Amazon Essential stuff is pretty good.UPDATE: FEBRUARY 8, 2021 – Recent events have me sitting at my computer for 6-8 hours a day. THIS IS THE MOST COMFORTABLE OFFICE CHAIR I HAVE EVER HAD! If you happen to buy this chair I’m willing to bet that you won’t be disappointed.

Just ok, seat padding flattens over time

I have had the cream chair for a year and a half now. The seat cushion flattens over time. I use mine daily anywhere from 2-16 hours because I’m always at my desk either for work or leisure on my computer. The rhombus stitching was a little sloppy on mine– loose threads and knots poking out of the lattice pattern, but it doesn’t affect function so it wasn’t worth returning. The faux leather is super thin, and I doubt it will hold out much longer. I use baby wipes to gently clean, but somehow the cream one gets dirty super fast (I used to have a cream Serta chair and it stayed clean longer). The faux leather finish has already started to wear down. I always wear pants when I sit in my chair, so it’s very unlikely to be due to skin contact or sweat degrading the surface. I do not live in a humid climate. (planting zone 10a and 10b with light precipitation during the year)Positives: I like that you can lift the arms for when I want to sit closer to my table (I’m 5’2 and petite) or push in the chair all the way when not in use. That can also be beneficial for larger people if they need more room. The chair was pretty easy to assemble without any issues.Overall it’s an ok chair for the price. It won’t stay pretty for long but it does the thing that chairs do just fine. Structurally sound, not good, not bad. Support is ok. I would not recommend it for heavy use or people with more weight–it’s not enough support. If you just need a chair in a barely used office to “complete” the look of a guest room, or you’re on a budget, this will do. I’m going back to Serta after this chair is done.

About 2 months in and it’s great!

So to start I’m 280 lbs 6’4″And this is a hell of an improvement from the $40 computer chair at Walmart It was absolutely treacherous. The new chair provides good support for what I need. I’m using it 8 to 10 hours a day streaming and/or playing video games. So I definitely needed something comfortable and this is the chair that I landed on.So far there are no problemsFor some reason people were complaining in the review section that the lumbar support has an empty space behind it.You’d think that would be a problem but it’s actually there for you to lean left and right and the lumbar support follows your move ment so it stays on your back flush. I don’t know if it would be an issue It was an issue for me though because of that lumbar support it tends to rub against the other part of the leather on the chair which makes a sort of fart noise so if you stream and you have a high quality mic and you don’t have your filters set correctly it might pick it up every single time you lean so keep that in mind but it doesn’t bother me considering that I have my mic tuned the way that I need it.So overall it’s a great chair I rate it five stars at least two months in I will give another review in a year

It’s good but the arm adjustment could be enhanced

I like it it has great lumbar support and a nice chic. Sleek look to it, but as someone who weighs 160 pounds the armrest is too far to actually rest my arms on, and there isn’t a way to adjust it to make it more narrow, or closer to your side. So there’s that but it’s not too much of a dealbreaker since I can just rest my arms on my table but it would be nice.

More Comfortable than Higher Priced Options

I am still surprised at how comfortable this chair is. I go through these things since I work from home, and this one has gone toe to toe with me so far. I am not big, 5″11 about 195lbs, so your results may vary based on your own metrics. The arm rests are about right for my desk, and the seat doesn’t cut off circulation to my legs like some chairs with raised seat fronts. Still, I expect a certain amount of life from this, then I’ll get a new chair again.I’ve had pricier chairs and they lasted about as long as any other, and weren’t as comfortable. So for the cost, these are great.

This chair is beautiful, comfortable, adjustable, and easy to assemble!

I am obsessed with this chair! I don’t write many reviews, but after all I went through deciding on a chair, I thought I should share how great this one turned out to be. I looked at so many options, online and in stores, and read probably hundreds of reviews. I finally settled on this one and am super pleased so far. Here’s what I love: 1) The chair was packaged very well. 2) It was easy to assemble – it took me about 30 minutes (with a couple of interruptions because I did it at work) to put it together by myself. The directions were easy to follow, and it feels very sturdy and looks great. 3) The chair is both aesthetically pleasing and super comfortable to sit in. The seat is firm but not hard (I don’t like to sink down into my office chair), and the padded cushion at the back provides excellent back support. 4) You can adjust it to suit you – not only does the height adjust up and down, but you can also adjust the tilt of the chair to sit straight up or lean back a bit. The arm rests also move up and down. The only thing I would suggest is that when putting the chair together (especially the white one) you should be careful not to get the residue from the parts on the fabric of the chair. I got a smudge of some kind of grime on the seat during assembly (which I think will come out), but after that I kept some wipes handy so I didn’t touch the assembly pieces and then touch the chair and mess it up.

Not high enough and too much side-to-side wobble

My last office chair was a gaming chair which was fine at first. But in just a couple of years the padding wore out, the “leather” started to flake off, and the gas cylinder started to fail.I decided to spend a little more money this time and bought this chair based on reviews about the padding. Naturally when it was delivered I got super busy with some other life events and didn’t even assemble it until the return window had closed. That’s on me. But I wasn’t too worried about it given the reviews and the higher price tier.Assembled it tonight and the cushioning is quite good and seems like it will last. Just two problems. One is that it has a short gas cylinder which sits very low in the wheel assembly, and it simply cannot be adjusted tall enough. Two is that it has a disturbing side-to-side wobble.I had a spare replacement cylinder I originally bought for the gaming chair, then decided the other parts were failing too so I never used it. I tried that one but it doesn’t fit correctly, i.e. the lever mechanism won’t make it go up and down. So the cylinder on this chair is not only short, it’s non-standard and cannot be replaced should it fail.I hate buying office chairs because there are a million models all competing and all cutting corners to compete. No one buying chairs has any hope of picking out better models, so better models never have a chance in the market. My old one used cheap padding, cheap leather, and a cheap cylinder. This one seems to use better padding and leather, but literally short changed me with a short, non-standard cylinder. How do companies mess up this badly? Literally another inch of travel would be fine. Heck, from what I can see of the wheel assembly, a better hole would keep the cylinder sitting higher and fix the wobble.I am very disappointed and wish I could return it.

    Great chair, but leans left.

No, I’m not talking “Politically”. Once assembled the base of the chair leaned left, no matter what direction it was facing. I ended up having to remove the base and use washers as shims to raise the left side up to match the level of the right side. All in all, it’s a great chair – just beware you may have similar issues, so make sure you have a few washers around just in case. The only other issue I have is that the stitching on one of the handles is loose, but I can live with that.

    Great for lower back!

I have a herniated disk in my lower back and am frequently in pain. Over the last year I’ve had significant issues with sitting, standing, and walking. I go to the chiropractor weekly and sometimes twice a week. It’s slowly getting better, but I was still uncomfortable sitting for long periods of time in my old chair. I decided to upgrade. Wow! This chair is amazing. It has great power back support! It’s very soft and I can sit in it all day without issues. I like that the arm rests can be put up. The swivel is very smooth. I even put it together myself, even with my back issues. I highly recommend! This has made my days of working at home much easier. The only possible negative thing is that it retains heat. If I’m sitting in it when I’m hot, it will feel like it’s cooking me a little on the seat. I’ve found that if I put a towel down, it doesn’t do that. This has not been a big issue for me, only noticed a few times during a heat wave, but something to note. Also, I’m 5’4” and with all the padding, I can’t put my feet flat on the floor. I do have it on the highest setting due to the height of my desk. I would like if it went up another inch or so.

Moderate comfort for the price point

This chair is perfect for the pricepoint but it does not feel like a comfortable enough chair for a WFH person. I have to get up every once in a while to make sure i stay active but even then i still feel a little discomfort after an 8 hour day. Still recommended if you arent too worried about spending all day sitting on it. And 10/10 looks

    A Really Good Chair.

OK. I am a gamer. This is not a gaming chair. Those Race chairs that are designed SPECIFICALLY for gamers?Yeah, don’t buy those.Buy this chair. This chair stays comfortable, can actually relax when needed, and doesn’t squeeze you like a loaf of bread between two boxes.I have spent countless hours playing games on it, and not once was I uncomfortable from the chair. It was super easy to set up, and has all the features you need out of a chair.Except one, adjustable arms. They flip up and don’t lock. They’re either up or down, no in between. Depending on how you play changes if they’re up or down. Keyboard and Mouse: up. Controller: down.Another positive they have over a “gaming” chair. They do not lock in stink. You all know what I am talking about. Good ol’ Taco Bell run with the Baja Blast to game the night away and after a little bit the barking spiders show up. A “gaming” chair will hold onto that smell for DAYS.This, well hope you don’t have friends over because it doesn’t hold that in. Still smells decently new.Another negative. The wheels are terrible. They lasted about a week before the started stopping and locking up. When you buy this, buy a good set of wheels for it.

    Excellent quality for teachers

I bought this because I was tired of buying the Walmart cheapy that loses its cushion fairly quickly. I am a teacher that does a fair amount of desk work, and I have a tendency to slouch when I type. I wanted this chair for the lumbar support, and it is great! Very comfortable and gently but firmly pushes my lower back into place. It has encouraged me to sit more correctly as I work, and I am very happy with this purchase. It did take some time assembling because the holes for the screws were a little difficult to align, but when they did align it was not hard to tighten them. I highly recommend this chair!

WOW. Gorgeous AND my back thanks me.

So I was initially a little scared / turned-off by the reviews that complain about the backrest’s angle. It’s literally a big item and you don’t want to deal with the hassle of a potential return. Then I took a leap of faith because competitors had bad reviews complaining about worse things, and I’m glad I did! Amazon nailed it with this one. First of all, it looks stunning. The design and look of this thing is very similar to what you would get with a luxury SUV (think Mercedes-Benz) car seat. Secondly, it is SO comfortable. Each time I sit on it my butt thanks me for making the upgrade from a mesh seat. It’s just so soft to the touch. Third, when I sit properly it supports my back really well (there’s nothing any chair can do if you’re not sitting properly, leaning forward etc). It gives me great relief when I sit like this, although I don’t sit properly all the time. Fourth, it is so smooth and silent – my outgoing chair used to creak at every move and drive me insane. Finally, it was also a breeze to put it together, husband did it in like 20 minutes. 5 well deserved stars from me.

Good back support but not for 8 hours

I love my chair…..BUT, the back support and arms are great. Love that the arms move up and down. The big thing I don’t like about the chair is the seat. The seat cushion is flat now, and I had to buy a cushion to make it more comfortable. I’ve only had this chair a couple of months and can’t afford to buy another one….. So I’m sticking with this chair until I can find something with more cushion for at least 8 hours a day of sitting for work.

    Very nice chair

Although this chair did have a few spots on it that looked as if someone else had returned it then it was sent to us, I still kept it and love it. (Spots weren’t visible once put together.) It’s the perfect size, height adjustment works great, and it’s comfortable. I do agree that the head section doesn’t come all the way up to you when you sit back but no one sits perfectly straight back from head to bottom in any office chair when in use. I’d buy it again.

Beautiful but with slight comfort issues

The chair is gorgeous. The color is great and it looks much more expensive than it is. I think my only gripe is there isn’t much give as far as the lean back and so it affects comfort if you have a tendency to lean to give your back a break. Other than that, I recommend.

What a great deal for a great chair!

This was an Amazon Warehouse purchase and a great one at that. The original box was inside another box, but all the parts were brand new and in perfect condition. It took all of 20 minutes to put together – instructions were super clear and easy to follow. I have had the chair for over a week and use it for 8+ hrs a day and it is very comfortable for me. One thing I will point out if you need a chair that goes pretty high, this may not be the one for you. I am short, so works for me. I LOVE I can flip the arms up.

Better than most, More value than most, but not perfect

Looks professional, and is comfortable for all day use. I am a computer programmer and sit for 10+ hours a day, so I know chairs. Being a chair snob, now the nit-picking. The dang arm rests are too wide, they are made for someone who is 250 pounds and really fat- I would have preferred 3″ narrower, the sitting part is wider than it needs to be. I am 5’7″ and weigh about 155 pounds. Another nitpick, the leather does get hot and I end up getting stinky balls from my shorts sweating so much. All this said, it’s above average for all chairs that I’ve used. If I could find a PERFECT chair, I’d be willing to spend $500, please someone make one.

A few dollars more and wala perfection. This is a well built and very comfortable chair. I looked on YouTube and there how to video on how to assamble. 20 minutes start to finish, easy. I would give this a 10 star but they only provide 5 star. Worth the money big time.

    Perfect for this big boy

I ordered this chair just recently, so this is based simply on my initial review.Once I completed the simple assembly, I was impressed with the overall look, feel and quality of the chair. I’m 5’9”, weighing 265 lbs, with a waist of 44. So, I was at first concerned. However, there is plenty of room sitting in the chair and not having to stress over the arm rest on the sides.Overall I would recommend this to anyone!

Major low back support – maybe too much for some

Start by saying I really like this chair. Needed something for the bedroom desk, so did a lot of looking on Amazon before picking the AmazonCommercial Ergonomic High-Back chair. Liked the color, liked the look, like the way the arms can get out of the way. All important for where the chair was going to be placed. As I read all the reviews I noticed many folks either loved it, or seemed to hate it. Thought I’d give it a shot. I’m about 5′ 8″ and about 150lbs. Currently using a Lazy Boy Big and Tall chair at the upstairs desk, so figured it may not work. 275 pound weight limit keeps one of the family members out of this one. The chair came a couple of days late (USPS), but no big deal. The box was in good shape and the contents were clean and perfect. Read in the reviews it was easy to put together, and it really is super easy. One person job, just needed wife for a few minutes to help line up the back of the chair in the last step. You just have to keep in mind what is in the manual, DO NOT TIGHTEN ALL THE SCREWS UNTIL IT IS PUT TOGETHER. Getting the holes lined up, with the arms loose was not a problem at all. Solid chair since it is metal and not cheap plastic. Think it will last awhile. Another reviewer noted she got a couple of greasy spots on the material from the hardware, so I kept that in mind while putting it together and it stayed clean. Used plastic disposable gloves to handle the bottom parts and screws. The only other thing to note is probably why some folks don’t like the chair. It has big time low back support, almost too much support. For me it’s fine, for some it might be a bit much. Otherwise, it is a really comfortable chair for sitting long periods of time. And, it really looks great. Again, perfect for the bedroom desk. Would buy it again. (might order one for a brother-in-law who needs really good low back support!) Thanks for reading the review, hope it helps you.

    Love my chair

I wish it were a bit less cream and more white, but it works. I wish it had adjustable lumbar support! Otherwise, it’s a beautiful chair, really comfortable, and fits my style.Oh, l also do not like the greyish-black plastic screw cover caps. It would have been nice if they matched the plastic of the arms. My only complaint is not refining small details that would have made it a 5-star chair.

Great for short periods of use; not great for long periods

I waited 2 years to write this review because I wanted to see how it would hold up over time and if the support/padding would start to wear down. I have used this chair 5-6 days per week, between 8-14 hours per day and I noticed probably after a year/year and a half that the padding started to thin out on the bottom part of the chair, causing my lower back and butt to hurt after a bit of time using it. Overall, for the price and how much I have used it, I wouldn’t say that it is a bad purchase. Will I purchase it again? No, but only because I spend an insane amount of time sitting in it every week (since I work from home) and will probably just invest in a better quality/more expensive chair that will be supportive even after 2 years. I think for the price point of this, it is a very good chair to have. I just wouldn’t recommend it if you plan on using it all day, every day, as it won’t be as supportive after a couple of years.

    Great upgrade!

I needed an upgrade on my home office chair due to back pain from the cheap one I had been using as a rush find when the pandemic hit. I read the reviews on this one and loved the look of it so decided to take the risk. The lumbar support is great! Mine hasn’t gone sideways like some of the other reviews. The only downsides I have to share are that 1. I wish the height would telescope up just a bit higher. 2. I wish the seat was a bit more supportive for the hips but this chair is very comfortable. If I use it for a while and decide I need more hip support I’ll splurge for the Lifeform brand from Relax The Back store. Overall it feels like I got a new car because the thing is fancy feeling and really brought my setup up a notch. HUGE improvement!!

Lots of padding, comfy so far

Day 1, about 20 minutes seat time:Received and the chair was very easy to put together. Would recommend leaving the arm bolts slightly loose between the bottom and back of the chair while putting them in. This allows max movement for getting the bolts started and then tighten once you have placed them all.Upon first sit, the chair feels very comfy, though at the lowest setting, I’d guess I’m a couple/few inches higher than with my previous chair. I’m 5’9″ with a 30″ inseam and I usually prefer the chairs to be just above the bottom of their up/down travel.Padding abounds and I foresee much less abuse to the coccyx compared to the thinly padded chair I came from.I appreciate flip-up arms for pushing the chair in further when not in use and it’s useful when recording guitar as the left arm is usually in my way, requiring me to sit at the edge of most chairs to allow for maximum movement. One note that might be of concern to some: I purchased the black chair which, in the images, looks to be the typical black “leather” color. However, upon arrival, the chair is a medium-dark grey instead. This isn’t a deal breaker for me, but -1 star for inaccurate representation of the color.I may update this review later if anything changes, but pleased with it overall.
